Prince Sultan University and ITC Signs a “Training & Hiring” Agreement



Prince Sultan University, through its program “King Salman’s Education for Employment Program”, signed a “Training & Hiring” agreement with Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) and other companies from the private sector. His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, witnessed the signing of the agreement, along with Dr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al –Yamani, Rector of Prince Sultan University and other university officials.  

This agreement met the interests of each party, where ITC continues its search for qualified and certified young Saudis to add them to its team. On the other hand, PSU and through its program “King Salman’s Education for Employment Program”, seeks the unemployed Saudi graduates to let them join the training programs offered by PSU’s academies, in order to employ them in public and private sectors’ entities. 

And based on this agreement between PSU and ITC, “King Salman’s Education for Employment Program” will accept 40 female unemployed graduates and 40 male unemployed graduates out of 1,000 applications based on ITCs’ line of business and needs. ITC will participate in choosing and interviewing the candidates, and will be responsible of offering on job training and hiring those who passed the programs requirements. 

And after the signing ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology stated that the “Human Resource” is the most important factor of success. And he asked all partners to collaborate in training the new generation that will be build the future and develop the present.  His Excellency has praised the efforts of E4E program in the last 10 years which resulted in qualifying 800 trainees for employment.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Yamani, Rector of Prince Sultan University, expressed his pleasure to sign the three agreements with the three major ICT companies, particularly as their former cooperation with two of them has resulted in the training of many graduates. Moreover, he stated that the experience of the E4E has been 100% successful, indicating that the PSU is looking forward to developing partnership with the public and private sectors to accomplish the E4E’s objectives and targets, all of which are within the Vision 2030.
